The exciting and fun Zion Canyon Music Festival held at the O. C. Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale, UT will be held, as always, on the last weekend of September – this year on September 29-30. It will, once again, be 2-days of music, food, arts and crafts. Attendees of all ages will enjoy the chance to browse at their leisure through assorted original art, handmade musical instruments and fine crafts. There will also be a kid zone featuring fun and family friendly activities, a bounce house and slide, games; food booths and a Beer Garden including handcrafted brews from Wasatch and Squatters Brewers.
The talent for this event are Dirty Bourbon River Show, an American 5-piece progressive bluegrass band; Hot Buttered Rum, a noisy, fun New Orleans big brass circus rock bank; The Reals; El Dub; Raven Cain, a singer, songwriter who packs the house whereever he performs; DJ Lex, a traveling mix show DJ – the most famous and in demand DJ in Southern Utah; and, the Flying Azevedo Brothers. These bands are going to rock the canyon.
Some tips for your enjoyment of the Zion Canyon Music Festival: bring a blanket to sit on – or believe it or not – to stay warm in the evening. You will also want to bring a reusable water bottle to take advantage of water stations throughout Springdale City. Clothing should be appropriate for the possibilty of hot daytime weather which could be cool at night.
Be aware, there are no coolers allowed, no outside food (except for kid snacks or to accommodate visitors with allergies) or alcohol. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the festival. Backpacks are permitted but will be inspected, and other than registered service dogs, no animals are permitted – nor are cigarettes in this non-smoking public place.
A “Leave No Trace” event, the Zion Canyon Music Festival promotes Springdale’s solar power projects and renewable energy resources around Southern Utah so donations and the support of willing sponsors are always welcome to keep the music going. Online donations can be easily made using Paypal.
