Just shy of 20 miles north of St. George is a little oasis in the desert. You will find a fun and adventure filled spot when you stop in to spend the day at the Veyo Pool and Crawdad Canyon. It is such a fun and extremely unique spot for locals and tourists. It has been entertaining the Southern Utah area since 1927!

Obviously we know temperatures can get pretty hot here in St. George, but you will see when you are visiting Veyo that the temperatures will be about 10-15 degrees cooler than what it would be in St. George. So beat the heat by swinging up to this unique location and enjoy the clear natural spring water that fills the  Veyo Pool!

If you are looking for a little break from the pool there are definitely some fun climbing routes that everyone can enjoy as you enter into Crawdad Canyon. You can enjoy all the climbing you want on your own, or one can choose to have a guide help out and take them on some of the fun climbing routes available. Take advantage of that 10 degree temperature change.

Another great thing about this location is that they have a great snack shack on site that offers loads of yummy food and treats to keep you all going through the day! However, if you like to pack your own lunch and snacks that is also a great option. On site there are several spots to set up for snacks and lunch with plenty of picnic tables and even shade!

So head on up to Veyo and take in a some adventure by doing a little climbing at Crawdad Canyon, playing in the Veyo Pool, and take a break near the brook and catch a few crawdads yourself!

Veyo Pool season is open from May 1 – Labor Day and is open seven days a week from 12 noon – 8pm. Climbing is open from 9am until 8pm. Prices are as follows: Adults $7, Children $5, and toddlers two and under are free.
